After-School Homework
Assistance Program
Sponsored by
Central Church of Christ
and
The Ohio State University Extension Office
Why A Homework Assistance Program?
In our fast paced world, families today
are finding it difficult to juggle jobs, kids’ activities, and school and
home responsibilities. We want to reduce the stress and time pressures that
are eroding the quality of family life. HOMEWORK
CENTRAL will provide a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment
where your children can complete their homework and enjoy active and fun
literacy activities that will enhance their school performance.
Our volunteer tutors love children and
are trained in the latest homework assistance and literacy strategies.
We also believe it is important for kids to have “down time” and our program
will give the kids an opportunity to have a snack, relax, make new friends,
and try out skills and projects that aren’t normally done in school.
Here at HOMEWORK
CENTRAL, our goal is simple. We want to create a fun, active learning
environment where homework is not a chore, but a springboard for learning,
where out of the ordinary activities will motivate your child to read,
write, and create!
We want
your child to succeed in school and in life.
We want to reduce the stresses in your family’s life.
We want to make a positive difference in your children’s lives!
